Who wouldn't want to give the mess a miss at mealtime? This ingenious baby high-chair attachment helps prevent the inevitable big mess a baby will generate. At first glance it would be the most useful at a restaurant by why not at home as well? Even with poor service we ended up leaving big tips behind since so much of our child's food ended up on the floor or even more inconvenient places and we felt bad about generating the extra work. Now the tip size is based purely on merit and not guilt + merit.
Idea origin
Remember those Sunlight Windshield protectors back in the 80's and 90's that flex-folded into a disk? Well, the Neatnik Saucer operates under the same principle. It starts as a compact flat frisby-like disc and with just a flick flack flick it expands to give your child an eating and playing surface that fastens with common points of contact. The picture helps explain what it looks like unfolded, but there is a little but not too much more to it.
How it works
First place the seat section into the high-chair, allowing the baby buckles to come through the holes. Next, moisten the suction-cups on the underside of the Saucer and afix to your table. Place baby in the chair, buckle down, and let the feasting begin! The perimeter has a raised fence which prevents unintended (or intended) item rolling action. If an object gets some loft, all bets are off because the only thing that will help you there is a complete bubble.
